  • This course focuses on the processes and principles of teaching and learning applied to the clinical setting with ethico-legal and moral implications. It will particularly enhance the cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills of those assisting nursing students to relate and apply theoretical learning to the realities and demands of clinical and bedside health care. Discussion will focus on the Educational Process in Nursing Education which includes the substantive, the procedural, the environmental and the human relations dimensions to be certain that nursing students will truly acquire the basic competencies required of them. The Vincentian Core Values and the SHC Thrusts will also be given emphasis, so that, GS students will also take part in molding and creating new breed of nurses with Vincentian spirituality. Since the core of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing undergraduate curriculum is the Related Learning Experience (RLE), the demand for close coordination between nursing education particularly Clinical Instructors and Nursing Service personnel in all settings will also to be given emphasis including proper evaluation of learning.
